Type of Sake

There are several grades of sake which are made from different kinds of rice and by different methods of manufacturing. The main standard is based on the percentage of rice polishing
Junmai Daiginjoshu (Excellent pure rice sake)
This sake is made from rice which has been polished to less than fifty percent and hasnft had brewing alcohol added.
Junmai Ginjoshu(Fine pure rice sake)
This sake is made from rice which has been polished to less than sixty percent and hasnft had brewing alcohol added.
Ginjoshu(Fine sake)
This sake is made from rice which has been polished to less than sixty percent and has had brewing alcohol added.
Junmaishu(Pure rice sake)
This sake is made from just rice which has been polished to less than seventy percent but hasnft had brewing alcohol added.
Honjozo(Original sake)
This sake is made from rice which has been polished to less than seventy percent and has had brewing alcohol added less than 125 liter per 1.000kg of polished rice .
Futsushu(Standard sake)
This sake can have brewing alcohol, glucose, amino acids and a few kinds of acids for brewing .
